Commercial Auction Results – Week ending 23 September 2016

Over the week ending 23 September, 72.2 per cent of the 36 reported commercial auctions cleared at auction, representing an increase from the 67.7 per cent clearance rate over the previous week, when 68 auction results were reported. Commercial auction performance over the last two weeks has been stronger than over the corresponding weeks last year, when less than 60 per cent of auctions were successful. A review of the four weeks ending 23 September shows that 208 properties have been taken to auction, with 126 of these selling (60.6 per cent). Of the 126 sales, 90 have been reported with a sale price, representing just under $226.1 million in transactions.
