Commercial Market Update – Burke Road Cityscope

The latest research from Burke Road Cityscope shows commercial property sales for the most recent quarter have increased in both number and total sales value. For the three months to August 2016, there were 8 sales at a total value of $19.6 million, compared to 4 sales at a total value of $5.3 million for the previous quarter. For the year to August 2016, the figures have decreased slightly, with 26 sales at a total value of $125.7 million, compared to 33 sales at a total value of $129.5 million for the previous year.

Notable sales in the August 2016 update of Burke Road Cityscope include:

  • A four-storey commercial building with parking for 24 cars and a net lettable area of 1,594 sqm, at 693 Burke Road, Hawthorn East, which sold for $8,000,000;
  • A single-storey warehouse on an 836-sqm site at 699-701 Burke Road, Hawthorn East, which sold for $5,721,271; and
  • A retail unit with three car spaces at 132 Camberwell Road, Hawthorn East, which sold for $1,764,000.

Properties listed as for sale in the August 2016 update of Burke Road Cityscope include:

  • A single-storey brick retail building with a rear garage, at 327 Camberwell Road, Camberwell , available through Prowse Burns Commercial; and
  • An 80-sqm, ground-floor office with a car space, at 685 Burke Road, Hawthorn East, through Prowse Burns Commercial.

Leasing opportunities listed in the August 2016 update of Burke Road Cityscope include:

  • A four-storey office block with basement parking for 115 cars and a net lettable area of 3,887 sqm, at 3 Prospect Hill Road, Camberwell, which has office space of 500 to 3,476 sqm for lease through Colliers International;
