Commercial Auction Results – Week ending 22 May

Despite a week-on-week fall, the auction clearance rate for commercial properties across Australia has maintained strength based on preliminary results, at 60 per cent across 40 reported auctions, down from 69.7 per cent the previous week, but much stronger than the 45 per cent over the week prior. Over the corresponding week one year ago, 79 commercial auctions were reported with a success rate of 64.6 per cent. Over the most recent four week period, 228 commercial auctions have been reported with 130 sales, equating to a success rate of 57 per cent. Of the 130 sales, 97 were reported with a sale price, with the total value of these transactions sitting just short of $194.9 million.
