Commercial Market Update – Sydney Units Cityscope

The latest research from Sydney Units Cityscope shows that residential property sales in Sydney’s CBD have decreased both in number and total value in the last quarter. There were 204 sales at a total value of $234.6 million in the three months to April 2016, compared to 218 sales at a total value of $240.3 million in the previous quarter.  The latest data shows that over the year to April 2016 the number of sales has fallen while the total value has increased, with 815 sales at a value of $968.2 million, compared to 892 sales at a value of $886.9 million for the previous year.

Notable sales in the April 2016 update of Sydney Units Cityscope include:

  • Unit 23.1, a 133sqm, three bedroom apartment with a car space at 2 Phillip Street, Sydney, and unit 23.2, a 253sqm, four bedroom apartment with two car spaces at 2 Phillip Street, Sydney, which sold together for $9.35 million;
  • Unit 5407, a 372sqm penthouse apartment with four car spaces at 101-105 Bathurst Street, Sydney, which sold with two storage lots for $6.5 million, and
  • Unit 5403, a 344sqm penthouse apartment with three car spaces at 101-105 Bathurst Street, Sydney, which sold for $6.28 million
